Also known in ayurveda as Gotu Kola . While the scientific name of this herb or plant is “Bacopa Monnieri”, it is more commonly referred to as ‘Brahmi’ in Indian Ayurveda and is simply known as ‘water hyssop’ among much of the western world. It is a wonderful herb with amazing benefits. It grows largely in south Asian countries of Vietnam, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka and China. This herb can be easily grown in damp conditions of a pond. The herb is a little bitter in taste and is used in salads and soups. It is also used in many parts of the Indian subcontinent.
